3500 Palestinian Detainees in Israel Hunger Strike

JERUSALEM - Approximately 3500 Palestinian prisoners who are in prisons throughout Israel declared a hunger strike following the anniversary of their detention.
"In order to commemorate the day of their detention has approximately 3500 Palestinian prisoners declared a hunger strike. Even 1200 of them said they would continue the action," said prison spokesman for Israel Sivan Weizman told the Associated Press on Tuesday (4/17/2012) .
Even the eight other prisoners who are not Palestinians also participated in the hunger strike. Actions that they perform as a form of solidarity with Palestinian prisoners.
"The same thing happened and now we are ready for their actions," said Sivan Weizman.
This hunger strike is not only supported by fellow prisoners, but also by Palestinians who took to the streets to protest in the Gaza Strip and West Bank.
Currently there are approximately 4699 Palestinian prisoners in all prisons are there in Israel. 319 of them under administrative detention.
So far, Israel is known to frequently make an arrest without a clear legal grounds against the Palestinians.
