CALIFORNIA - Apple has removed a number of applications in the App Store that mimics or is similar to the title of a successful game. It had to be done, after the games sparked public anger from the developer on this issue.
Some of these applications among which are didompleng, Temple Run, Tiny Wings and Words with Friends. False application is largely the work of Anton Sinelnikov developers. On Saturday morning, Sinelnikov had nine applications available at the App Store, including some that are still visible ripoffs of other applications.
As reported by The Guardian, Saturday (04/03/2012), bring this issue more into the public spotlight and called it "misleading applications." Sinelnikov, however, is not alone in his efforts, like dozens of other applications from other developers have tried to be dishonest?? Capitalized on the success of others.
Calls for Apple to take down the offending application is made by many developers and users alike on Twitter earlier this week. Keith Shepherd, creator Run Temple, noted in his account that an application such as navigation Temple.
Last month, a game maker Atari developer accused of utilizing the "special relationship" with Apple to have as many as "hundreds" of applications like other games.
Apple is not alone, Google's Android platform is also facing the same problem, especially considering the lack of an official inspection process in the Android Market. The open nature of Android has even led to criticism by some content owners, developers and security companies for copyright infringement and malware issues.
