Nyon - UEFA, European soccer's highest authority, released the names of players who compete for this award in 2011. Name the three stars of La Liga, Xavi Hernandez, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo ensured the best players compete for the title.
A jury of 53 sports journalists, representing each UEFA member association, to cut a long list of candidates the best players 2010/2011 to 10 top names. Two pillars of Barcelona, Xavi and Messi ranks each one in half, while Ronaldo is ranked third.
Meanwhile, another courtier Barcelona, Andreas Iniesta ranks fourth, in which Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney just perched on the top six, under the FC Porto star Falcao.
Xavi, Messi and CR7 will fight through the process of voting by electronic systems, which involve 53 sports journalist. The plan, the election is held as the Champions League group stage draw in Monaco, on 25 August.
As is known, Messi and Real Madrid star Ronaldo seemed destined to be rivals of all time. Earlier, Ronaldo won the UEFA the best player in 2008, while Messi was captured in 2009.
Meanwhile, the winning title of the best players of last year's Champions League, Inter Milan striker Diego Milito absent from the fight. Throughout last season, the performance of Argentine international striker due to injury of the old faded membekapnya.
