Solar Eclipse Ring Falling On May 20


WASHINGTON - The first solar eclipse in 2012 will decorate the skies on May 20 this weekend. This eclipse will occur when the Moon passes in front of the sun and displays a form of "ring of fire".

Proclaimed NASA sites, Wednesday (16/05/2012), this event is known as ring solar eclipse (annular solar eclipse). At the time of the day, the Moon will cover approximately 94 percent of the sun so that only appear as a luminous ring.
