Hamilton in new Red Bull link

LEWIS HAMILTON has again been linked to a shock switch to Red Bull.

According to sources of racing mag Autosport, the troubled British superstar met Red Bull boss Christian Horner for talks on the evening before the Canadian Grand Prix.

The pair were said to have spent 15 minutes together in private.

And it is thought Hamilton's future intentions were on the agenda.

The McLaren star, whose current contract ends in 2012, has been the target of fierce criticism after several clashes with other drivers in the last two Grands Prix.

But many F1 insiders believe the incidents are simply the result of a frustrated Hamilton having to push so hard in his increasingly vain attempts to beat the pace-setting Red Bulls.

He is also painfully aware that McLaren have failed to produce F1's fastest car for the last three seasons.

Hamilton and his new management team at Simon Fuller's XIX Entertainment are widely known to be weighing up future options.

And the driver's meeting with Horner will only fuel fevered speculation that first surfaced earlier this year about a move to Red Bull in 2013.

McLaren boss Martin Whitmarsh conceded Hamilton is enduring "an unfortunate run".

But he insisted the 2008 world champ enjoyed Jenson Button's Canadian GP win "for the team"
