TOKYO - The death rate caused by the earthquake that struck Tokyo, on day 185 was confirmed to touch the soul. The number of victims is estimated to increase by more than 1,000 people, while approximately 1,800 houses in Fukushima Prefecture, reportedly devastated.
Earthquake measuring 8.9 Richter scale (SR) have also caused 741 people reported missing in nine prefectures in the northeast and eastern Japan, including Tokyo.
In Iwate Prefecture, the coastal region Rikuzentakata town looks devastated by the tsunami waves. While the disaster management agency of Japan reported not to contact people there, according to the Associated Press reported on Saturday (12/03/2011)
The number of victims has yet to be ascertained. Although the government confirmed 185 people were killed on this day, Miyagi prefectural police claimed to find 200 to 300 bodies of people who were swept by the tsunami.
While approximately 3,000 people in Fukushima Prefecture was forced to evacuate after a reactor owned by Tokyo Electric Power reported a leak. Evacuation was carried out to citizens who live approximately 3 kilometers from the nuclear reactor.
