Microsoft Acquisition of Social Networking Yammer

CALIFORNIA - Microsoft announced its intention to acquire a social networking tool for companies. Social network called Yammer is estimated at USD1, 2 billion.

Yammer was launched in 2008. This social networking tool allows companies to create a personal social jejraing free and safe. This allows people to communicate with each other within the company and sent to the entire corporate strategy.

Now, Yammer has more than five million companies that use it. After the acquisition, the business will join with Microsoft Office and the Division will continue to coordinate with CEO David Sacks.

"Yammer adds best-in-class service social networking companies in the Microsoft cloud service portfolio," said Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer as reported by Telecoms on Wednesday (27/06/2012).

Furthermore, the social networking company will continue to develop self-service and its commitment to simplicity, innovation and cross-platform. Going forward, Microsoft plans to accelerate the adoption of Yammer with a complementary offer of Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics and Skype.
