Researchers Find Largest Galaxies in the Universe

El Gordo

LONDON - A group of researchers from the astronomers found the largest galaxy in the universe of the largest claims. They found it when doing observations using teleksop in the mountains of Atacama, in Chile.

Known as the largest galaxies in the universe, the article of this galaxy has a distance of approximately seven billion light years, equivalent to two million billion solar masses. Not only that, this galaxy is the most stable structures in the solar system.

Among the inventor, the galaxy is named "El Gordo" or which in Spanish means "The Fat". The reason El Gordo getting bigger because currently undergoing mergers (mergers) and grow larger. Alone among astronomers hope to better understand how they form, grow and collide with one another.

Reported by BBC.co.uk, Thursday (01/12/2012), the process of formation of the Fat is the same as other galaxies, is the result of many superlatives that arise from the incident cosmic collision with each other in high speed in the universe.

The researchers stated, by seeing and understanding the nature of the El Gordo, humans are able to understand the time evolution of the universe structure formation.
