BUENOS AIRES - Neymar airings name lately as dim figure of Alexandre Pato. But Brazil coach Mano Menezes claimed "The Duck" is the successor to Ronaldo.
Brazil is often spawned a legendary star. Call saj Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Romario or the other. So no rare occurrence often associated with the new name of the senior.
Great hope lies with Pato. AC Milan's striker was signed in Brazil in the Copa America squad that will be held July 1. Menezes hopes to follow in the footsteps legendar Pato of Brazil, Ronaldo, who gave two World Cup titles.
"Fans are always hoping to see someone who will replace their former idol and now they want to be Ronaldo or Romario Pato," said Menezes.
"I asked quietly as I think Pato has the character of Ronaldo's position," continued Menezes.
"People always talk about Neymar, but Pato has the qualities to become the player we all want," he concluded, as reported by Goal, on Wednesday (29/06/2011).
