Sympathy Convey Obama On Australia


WASHINGTON - President of the United States (U.S.) Barrack Obama contact Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillarrd to convey condolences on flood disaster that hit the country kangaroo. These floods have claimed lives and material in an amount not less.

"Obama expressed his sympathy for victims who were killed, injured or lost their homes and their work due to floods in recent weeks," said White House as disitat AFP on Saturday (15/01/2011).

President Obama also reiterated his country would offer assistance to Australia. By doing so, Australia is expected to perform the actions needed to be better. Obama said they would remain ready to provide support to citizens of Australia to recover from this tragedy.

More than 80 cities in the state of Queensland hit by floods, is touted as the largest in the last century. This disaster struck an area over a wide area of France and Germany combined.

Queensland are still covered by mud that bubble up from the Brisbane river, burst its banks due to heavy current hack. Flood flows make all the houses in the region sank until only the roof of the house are still visible from the air. Flooding has also damaged the building infrastructure.

More than 26,000 existing homes in and around the Brisbane area is still paralyzed today.

Floods that struck the western region of this city even has killed at least 16 people, while 20 others were swept away.
