WASHINGTON - Is it true that social networking users generally do not like something that is too long? This seems to have to think again. The reason, a new social networking site called Widbook, now comes as a platform to share books.
When Okezone try to visit at the address www.widbook.com, the site is welcomed by the tagline "write, read and share." widbook said is a social network to find a book, publish and disseminate their own ideas.
Users can join easily into social networking. It is required only your name, email address and the keywords you want to use. After registering it, then the user will be escorted to the next page.
Then the user can look up his friend who has been active in Widbook and stay connected. The most fun part of this stage is, the user can choose his favorite literary genre of several options, such as "Literature", "Sports" and "Technology & Internet".
Not just writing, users will also update the status and read a book by another user. Before writing a book, users can control who can view the books of his work and may I comment on the book.
An interesting feature is a collaboration that allows fellow users Widbook writing in a digital book. This collaboration features make Widbook as a crowdsourcing. Users who activate this feature could revise the book written by others, in order to stay within the theme.
Reported by Mashable, Saturday (06/02/2012), users can also publish a chapter has been written, though still not finished. There was also a choice to share it on other social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Google + and Pinterest.
Currently Widbook site still in beta form. If you write a book, users can not remove it from the site. However, this function will be available after Widbook rolled out of beta. This site created by Y Combinator start-up Incubator, which also operates Reddit and Dropbox at the beginning.
