Liverpool End Thirst degree

LONDON - Liverpool managed to end the thirst of six years without a degree after successfully winning the Carling Cup 2012 by beating Cardiff 3-2 (2-2) on penalties.

The last time Liverpool won the trophy was in 2006 when winning the FA Cup by beating West Ham in the final on penalties 3-1 (3-3). With the Carling Cup 2012 trophy, it means Liverpool now have collected the League Cup eight-highest among the other English teams.

Both teams played a 1-1 draw for 90 minutes so the game must be continued into extra time. In extra time, both teams were both scored one goal so the score to 2-2 after 120 minutes. Games also must be determined on penalties.
