Sepang - Yamaha has officially announced Katsuyuki Nakasuga as a replacement for Jorge Lorenzo at the Malaysian GP this weekend. This means the race at the Sepang Circuit later would become his debut MotoGP for Nakasuga.
Nakasuga not a stranger to Yamaha's face because he is the third driver Yamaha in the Superbike class in the event the All Japan Road Racing Championship. In fact, Nakasuga have taken part in the testing program YZR-M1 and also for Bridgestone tires.
Despite the age of 30 years but the experience in the arena of grand prix Nakasuga confined to the 250cc class where he recorded three times appearances in the Japanese GP in 2002, 2003, and 2004.
Nakasuga Lorenzo will replace the injured left finger during a warm-up laps at the Australian GP at Phillip Island Circuit last week. 2010 world champion's participation in the rest of this season, including the Grand Prix of Valencia still to be decided next few days. Lorenzo himself had undergone surgery and is now still in the stage of recovery.
