Cavani name had been often circulated in the transfer market lately. Chelsea and Real Madrid striker became enthusiasts club 26 years ago.
Linked with Chelsea and Real Madrid, Cavani had already declared that he is difficult to reject the proposal if it comes.
Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has explained that Cavani transfer saga will end not later than 20 July. However, the club's official radio announced that Napoli and Chelsea have reached an agreement about the transfer faster the Uruguayan striker.
"Our office received word from a reliable source that Napoli have reached an agreement with Chelsea related transfer process Cavani," said a source at Radio Marte reported by the Daily Mail.
"Rafa Benitez has also made it clear, but before formalizing the transfer, Napoli would like to secure the striker will replace Il Matador."
"The club belongs to Aurelio De Laurentiis will receive about 58 million euros (49.3 million pounds), slightly discounted from the buy out clause, where the situation is the same with Ezequiel Lavezzi to PSG last year," added the statement.
