Serie A & La Liga Domination 2012 Golden Foot Award

ROME - winner of the Golden Foot Award nomination in 2012 has been officially announced. A total of 10 footballers from the continent to fight for a title that can only be achieved once throughout a career.

For this year, the competition Italy and Spain became the largest contributor nominees, the four players. Serie A is represented by Andrea Pirlo, Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus) and the duo Clarence Seedorf AC Milan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

While La Liga, also represented two of their best teams Real Madrid and Barcelona. El Real is represented Iker Casillas and Kaka, while in the Barca camp there is the name of Carles Puyol and Xavi Hernandez.

The Golden Foot Award is an award given annually to the regular players who are still active and at least 29 years old. Selection of winners is based only player on the field accomplishments, but also their influence off the field.

As a tradition, the winner of this award have the opportunity to print footprints on the Champions Promenade, or some sort of Hollywood Walk of Fame in the print world of the celebrity footprints.

This award was started in 2003. Noted, had 9 players won the trophy this. Roberto Baggio / Brescia (2003), Pavel Nedved / Juventus (2004), Andriy Shevchenko / AC Milan (2005), Ronaldo / Real Madrid (2006), Alessandro Del Piero / Juventus (2007), Roberto Carlos / Fenerbahce (2008), Ronaldinho / AC Milan (2009), Francesco Totti / AS Roma (2010) and Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs in 2011.
