Athletic Bilbao warned Manchester City if they are not going to take off Fernando Llorente at a price below the clauses.
Llorente is currently for Spain in Euro 2012 event. But already a few months he has been linked with a move from San Mames, although recently signed a contract extension last year.
Current contract clauses inserted by 36 million euro purchase and Bilbao have not confirmed if they would consider offering smaller than that price.
"He was a key player and we will not accept lower prices, fans would not be accepted," said club president, Josu Urrutia.
Many top European clubs reportedly chasing Llorente, including the City and Real Madrid. But the player who last season scored 29 goals in all competitions for Bilbao refused carried away in speculation over his future.
"Now I just focus on the national team, my situation with Athletic has not changed," he said.
