British Students Learn Mathematic Difficulties

- According to research, a number of universities are forced to lower
the standard of mathematics because of the many children leave school
with poor numeracy skills.
Many institutions that "marginalize the content of mathematics" in the graduate program because of concerns about the inability of English learners at basic arithmetic.
The researchers say much other than math majors that require math skills, especially the use of quantitative research methods. This includes the disciplines of social sciences, medicine, and psychology.
But a report published by the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) said that some universities fail to "advertise the level of mathematics required for the convenience of studying a particular subject for fear of being blocked by the application."
While other academics who settled on this course and are required to have good math skills for graduate school can not handle it. This puts UK university in a less favorable position compared with overseas universities.
Crisis highlights the math on a national scale, then the Daily Telegraph British Count Make a campaign. On the campaign also provided a tool for parents in order to improve the numeracy skills of their children.
According to the study, currently, more than half of pupils gained at least grade C in GCSE mathematics at school. It is also an impact on the college level.

"But in general among universities overseas require advanced mathematics qualifications before being accepted into a degree program relevant.The report also says, in an increasingly international market, the failure to develop quantitative skills and the content is potentially damaging to stand a few degrees in English between international students and to graduates of English weakness in the global marketplace. "
