NTC Independence Proclaimed Libya Tomorrow



Tripoli - Libya The new government proclaimed the independence of Libya on Sunday tomorrow, meanwhile, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization will also immediately end the mission in Libya on October 31.

"The announcement of the declaration of independence will be held in the Libyan city of Benghazi on Sunday (23/10) at 17:00 local time," said an official with the National Transitional Council (NTC), as quoted by AFP on Saturday (22/10/2011).

Benghazi is a city in Libya, which became the headquarters of the NTC. NTC officials also confirmed earlier, the Libyan government will continue after they controlled the city of Sirte.

When Moammar Gaddafi was killed, the NTC was immediately held a press conference. Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril NTC also said NTC Chairman Mustafa Abdel Jalil will be coming soon to declare the independence of Libya. Mustafa also will provide details about Gaddafi's death.

Gabriel also said Libya's declaration of independence will be a new signal for the Government of Libya to create democratic institutions in the country located in North Africa.

At the time of death Gaddafi, Libyan citizens seemed cheered and waving flags of the new Libya. They seem very excited to welcome the renewal of his country.
