Manchester City 'Most Rugged' Foursquare Version

LONDON - Manchester in the UK is the rudest city in the world in the use of English, according to Foursquare, based on the number of check-in and user recommendations.

In a blog post on the company's engineering, explained that the Foursquare has been experimenting with ways to analyze data on the words that appear in a message on a social networking service based on location.

"Until now, our data is only stored in the database production and log files. Most of the time is fine, but every time someone wants to do non-technical exploration data, It requires them to know the scale and be able to count against the production database , "he said, as quoted by TG Daily, Friday (4/3/2011).

Of course, people wonder what decision and roughness based on what a city is selected.

Manchester comfortably top of the list, followed by El Paso, Pittsburgh and Bloomington. Then followed by California, Riverside, Venice, Orange, Culver City, Fullerton and Los Angeles all featuring in the top 20. Apart from Manchester, Melbourne is the only city outside the U.S. and UK.

Some readers, of course, feel less happy with their designation.

"As a Mancunian (Manchester City dwellers title) I find the results you are total nonsense. You can not perform the analysis correctly. You need to actually meet with people," said Jacoliame, one who commented.
