6 Richter Scale Earthquake Hits Japan Back


TOKYO - Aftershocks continue to hit Japan after the devastating earthquake measuring 9.0 Richter scale (SR) Friday, March 11 last. Latest aftershock measuring magnitude 6 hit Japan again today.

Aftershock was centered in Shizuoka is located approximately 150 kilometers south of Tokyo. The depth of the quake itself is located at 10 kilometers.

As reported by Reuters on Tuesday (03/15/2011), according to Asia Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, aftershocks do not pose a potential tsunami.
