BenQ Remove the Tablet R100 in 2011

TAIPEI - Taiwanese computer vendor, BenQ plans to release its first tablet computers, R100 in early 2011. At this early stage of these tablets will be marketed in China and Taiwan.

R100 is a tablet measuring 10.1-inch touchscreen LCD display with 1024 x 600. Processors used in this tablet-based ARM is running at 833 MHz. PCWorld Thus was launched on Thursday (23/12/2010).


BenQ says that this tablet computer will be heavy competition for tablet computers made by Apple, iPad. BenQ itself has not ensure the operating system that will be used for the tablet computer. However, BenQ said that the operating system used must be supported by various applications, likely will use Android.

Taiwan's vendors also claims, the specification for the R100 will be very different from the other tablets. R100 battery claimed to stand for up to 12 hours. In addition, R100 will also be equipped with a stylus. Users also will be given two options namely English and Chinese languages.


The capacity of storage space provided in the tablet is only approximately 8GB and external memory can be added up to 16 GB. BenQ also complement the tablet computer with a mini-USB and mini-HDMI.

Considered to be very slim R100 Dimensions approximately 15 mm x 191 mm x 244. Weight ranges from 720 grams R100.
